A typical Guadeloupe day

We had a light breakfast on the porch and then Tom finished assembling Pearl and then we put our suits on and headed for the beach! Raisins St Clair is fairly large beach in Saint Francois and we planned to relax there for a bit and then have lunch at the restaurant on the beach. Found a great little shady spot; perfect to spread out our towels, read and take a dip

The restaurant on the beach did not work out so well. The waitress was either overwhelmed or just didn’t want to deal with another table. We ended up leaving and parking close to the grocery store at the marina. Had a very nice lunch at one of the restaurants there and then stocked up again at the store.

Back at the bungalow around 4, we then took Pearl for a ride to the Pointe de Chateaux just to make sure all was well with the set up. It’s just so beautfiul there and only a couple of miles from the bungalow. Enjoyed watching the parasailors. Before we left, one of Tony and Natalie’s daughters stopped by with fruit for us. I don’t remember the name of it but we had it last time and it’s good.

We learned how to play Jaipur, got a round in and then had another lovely fresh salad, baguette, and wine dinner on the porch.

That’s a typical and wonderful Guadeloupe day. The sun is hot but the breeze blows all day long. The porch is always nice and cool. The hours just seem to fly by….
