Arrived in Cleveland around 4 and easily found our hotel right downtown and a short walk from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. What we didn’t find was any traffic! Maybe we’re in some weird corner of downtown but compared to Boston this city is really, really quiet.
Thursday morning we headed for the R&R HoF and had a leisurely stroll through the exhibits. It’s definitely worth a visit!
Theatre and interactive exihibits were closed because of Covid but there was still plenty to enjoy. This seems so ridiculous now:
This gallery is in honor of Hudson High School teacher Mr. Daniels and his famous test question regarding the identity of the greatest Rock and Roll band in history
We finished up around 2 and I suppose we could have squeezed some other Cleveland sight seeing in but the hotel pool was beckoning and we were happy to do a bit of relaxing for the rest of the day. The Drury hotel serves up a light supper and free drinks from 5:30 – 7 every evening and that’s just perfect for the aging rockers!
Tomorrow is a 6 hour drive to Ludington where we will catch the ferry on Saturday to Green Bay for the start of the bike tour.
