Maurice took us into Lurgan this morning for a walk around Lurgan Park. Don’t believe I have been there before! We first had a look at Lord Lurgan’s house which is pretty staggeringly large. The park was part of his grounds as well so he had quite the spread. During WWII the house was used to billet American soldiers, including Gene Vineyard. The local saying was that the American soldiers were over paid, over sexed and over here! We’re hoping to tour the exhibit Wednesday morning before we head back down to Dublin.
The walk was delightful and the rain held off despite the threatening clouds
When we got back I did a photo shoot of Liz’s garden to use as design inspiration when we start to work on landscaping. It really is beautiful.
Look who decided to come over from the farm next door and join me on my walkabout
And for something old, we had a marvelous lunch at the PotBelly Pig. Delicious and delightful to spend more time with the Nelsons!
