It’s February 7th, Boston has already had more than 50 inches of snow, there is a winter storm warning in effect for the next 3 days, and our hometown, Hudson, got the prize last storm for most snowfall in the state! Here’s what we left behind when our cranky daughter drove us to Logan
Starting the trip off with two of my favorite treats and my very favorite guy
Trip is off to a very auspicious start as the plane had lots of empty space and our row mate moved to another row quite early in the flight. I wouldn’t exactly say that we were sprawled out, but we had plenty of room to enjoy our standard Alaska Airlines snack packs (Northwest deli, Fruit and Cheese) and couple of glasses of Washington State Pinot Gris.
Took a cab to Mudville Flats and waited for a bit on the sidewalk as owner “put her clothes on”. Apparently we were supposed to call on the way. She gave us a detailed tour including how each light in the room was operated (remember that it is now 2AM for us) with extra depth on the operation of the cable remote and the air conditioner. It really was a great tour and I can’t wait to explore the back yard and neighborhood today but we were pretty bleary eyed last night. Fantastic place to stay; very spacious flat (apartment) and an amazing location. Here’s a couple of pictures as we browsed area information while we had our coffee. Note the condition of the bed first thing in the morning. I am compulsive with my shower and Tom with his bed making. It all works out….
